KNOW – Keeping Neighbors Organized & Well-Informed – is a Section 527 political organization permitted to engage in political activities, including advocacy, voter engagement, grassroots organizing, and support for candidates and public issues as allowed by federal and state law. Contributions to KNOW are not tax-deductible as charitable donations. KNOW may be required to report contributions and expenditures on IRS Form 8872, and Section 527 organizations generally notify the IRS of their status using Form 8871.
